My 1990 Z24
Welcome to the new website honoring the 1986-94 V6 Z24 models. If there is one car that deserves more respect than it has gotten over the past few decades, it is this one! This little economical, practical, fun-to-drive sweetheart has been relentlessly ignored by the collector car market. Tens of thousands were built in Ohio, but few remain alive today. They were purchased mostly by young drivers who could not afford the insurance on a Z28 of the same period. This model has been owned by non-car nuts who just liked its looks. Other buyers thought it was a cheap performance car for shredding the front tires. None of these choices has led to the careful maintenance or restoration of these cars.
I recently discovered the exceptional V6Z24.com site that seems to be stuck in idle mode. Most of the activity of that site ceased moving forward several years ago. After trying unsuccessfully to join that site, I thought the only way I would ever meet more fans of these cars would be by starting my own blog. I am utilizing the somewhat dated blog format simply because I am familiar with the process. Surely by now interest in these affordable little beauties should be increasing. Mine is currently for sale, only because at my age I no longer have any business owning and maintaining four cars.
Anyone who wishes to join this site and send me info or photos of your Z24 is welcome. I cannot say exactly where this is going right now, but like the Z24, I expect it to be a fun ride! Feel free to leave comments. Trolls and Cavalier haters will be given the boot.
